Craft Kit Skill Level Guide
I want everyone who picks up one of my kits to feel confident in being able to complete it. Whilst all my kits come with full step-by-step instructions, technical skills and assembly times vary across designs. Use this guide to help you find the right match for you or the person you are purchasing a kit for.
Note: Most kits require hand-cutting, which takes time! The slow, mindful cutting process is part of the joy and value of making these pieces.
| SKILL LEVEL | WHAT TO EXPECT | IDEAL FOR |
| Beginner | Simpler shapes, low intricacy, and often focus on a single flower type. Repetitive assembly helps you build rhythm quickly. | First-time crafters, glue gun novices, or anyone wanting a quick, relaxing win. |
| Intermediate | Moderate intricacy combining a mix of techniques and slightly more detailed cutting. | Crafters comfortable with basic tools who want to learn new shapes and construction methods. |
| Advanced | Highly intricate cutting, multiple technique styles, and maximum detail. Designed to challenge your skills. | Experienced crafters looking for a deeply immersive, time-intensive project. |
Which level should you choose?
There is no 'wrong' kit to pick! Choosing a flower or design you genuinely love is the best motivation to finish it. If you are stuck between options, consider these questions:
- How comfortable are you with a hot glue gun? If you have never used one, start with a Beginner kit to build tool control before tackling complex shapes.
- How much time do you want to invest? If you want a quick weekend project, lean toward Beginner. If you want a project to enjoy over several sessions, go for Advanced.
- How do you feel about detailed cutting? If tiny cuts and high variety excite you, choose Advanced. If you prefer straightforward cutting patterns, go for Beginner or Intermediate.
