On Friday I was joined by a fabulous bunch of ladies for another craft workshop at The Chapel Coffee House in Ormesby, Norfolk. Fuelled by tea, coffee and delicious cake (I could write a whole blog post about the cake) we spent the morning making mini felt flower pots, inspired by my Mini Pots of Mindfulness.
I always love the reaction of my students when they see and feel the felt: both the range of colours and the quality compared to what we're used to buying at high street craft shops. It's the same range of felt that I use in all of my patterns and craft kits and the results are always stunning: the mix of wool and rayon makes it incredibly soft whilst being strong and holding its shape beautifully.
There was definitely some audible umm-ing and ahh-ing over colour choices and in the end I think everyone chose different colours, making for some fantastic combinations. I really can't choose a favourite but I do love the combination of Lagoon and Pixie Pink in that top one and all of them really pop with colour with the centre colours chosen.
Plans are already underway for my next workshop: keep an eye on my website and social media pages for announcements! And I must say a special thank you to The Chapel Coffee House for hosting us and to the staff and volunteers who always give us such a warm welcome. If you're ever in the Ormesby area I definitely recommend stopping by for a bite to eat!
